Welcome to the Silver Lake church of Christ! We’ve been located near beautiful Silver Lake in Everett, Washington for 50 years. Our goal is to worship our God as true to His word as we can. We accept the Bible as God's divinely inspired Word as revealed by the Holy Spirit. We use it as our only guide for all that we do, and believe that it teaches us all we need to know and believe to be saved. The Bible also has many messages to help us in our daily lives. It teaches us what sin is, how to avoid it, and what to do when our lives become stained by sin which is to repent and put on Christ in baptism for the forgiveness of our sins. We believe that baptism is the point at which a person puts on Christ through faith, is washed from their sins (Acts 2:38; 22:16), and is added to the Lord's church (Acts 2:47). We believe that Jesus is the head of the church because he purchased it with his blood (Col. 1:18). Therefore, he has all authority (Matt. 28:18) over us as individual Christians, and as a local congregation. We therefore reject any notions of various denominations or denominational organization within the Lord's body. We believe there is one church that ought to be striving for unity, one body, one Lord, one faith, and one baptism with Christ as the head (Eph. 4:3-5). We wish to share all of God’s word with the community around us and welcome visitors from all walks of life.
